Payslip Decoder
- Is it free to use the payslip decoder?
- Yes, the payslip decoder is completely free. Upload a PDF payslip or enter your salary manually and get an instant breakdown of income tax, National Insurance, pension contributions, and take-home pay — no account required.
- Is my payslip data stored or shared?
- No. Your payslip is processed in your browser or temporarily in server memory. We do not permanently store your payslip data unless you explicitly save a record, and we never share it with third parties.
- Which tax year does the calculator use?
- The 2024/25 UK tax year rates, including current income tax bands, National Insurance thresholds, and student loan plan thresholds (Plans 1, 2, 4, and 5).
- Does it support Scottish income tax rates?
- Currently the decoder uses standard UK (England, Wales, Northern Ireland) income tax rates. Scottish income tax is on our development roadmap.
- What is the Flow Score?
- The Flow Score grades your financial allocation — how well you're dividing take-home pay across essentials, savings, investing, debt reduction, and discretionary spending.
Budgeting & Planning
- What is the 50/30/20 rule?
- 50% of take-home pay to needs, 30% to wants, and 20% to savings and debt repayment. Flowmetriq adapts this framework for UK financial priorities.
- Where is my spending data stored?
- Spending data is stored locally on your device using your browser's localStorage. It is not sent to our servers.
Net Worth & Wealth
- What is tracked in the Net Worth Tracker?
- All assets (bank accounts, ISAs, investments, property, vehicles, pension value) and liabilities (mortgages, loans, credit cards). The tracker calculates your net worth, wealth score, and debt-to-asset ratio.
Mentorship
- What is the Flowmetriq mentorship programme?
- A structured financial education and coaching service covering budgeting discipline, wealth structuring, and investing foundations. Available as Foundational (£49) or Full Mentorship (£160).
- Is this regulated financial advice?
- No. Flowmetriq is not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). We provide financial education and coaching — not personalised regulated financial advice.
Privacy & Security
- Is Flowmetriq GDPR compliant?
- Yes. We process personal data lawfully, store only what is necessary, give you full access and deletion rights, and never sell your data.
- How is my password stored?
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. We never store plain-text passwords.
